The global wood construction industry will convene in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) in December to participate in the International Wood Construction Conference. The event is one of the most important conventions in the wood construction segment and is an obligatory date for timber specialists and architects from all over the world. TS3 will also be there.
Skyscrapers could in future be built from cost-effective and environmentally friendly timber instead of the usual steel-reinforced concrete elements. This is according to an article by Austrian business magazine Trend reporting on the new TS3 technology.
Taking place next month, Woodrise is the first world congress for the timber construction trade with a focus on medium-sized timber buildings and high-rise timber structures. Alongside lectures and workshops, the event in Bordeaux will also feature an exhibition at which Timber Structures 3.0 will have its own booth.
It’s official: the company Timber Structures 3.0 AG headquartered in Thun has registered the TS3 trademark in the United States of America. This was recently confirmed by the US Patent Office.
Timber Structures 3.0 AG is currently having the TS3 joint comprehensively tested under arduous conditions – namely outside, exposed to the elements of the four seasons. The joint is undergoing testing at the Institute of Structural Engineering at ETH Zurich.
Building houses made of timber that were formerly only feasible with steel and concrete – the newly developed TS3 technology makes this possible. The latest edition of "Baubio", the magazine published by organic construction association "Baubiosuisse", contains a detailed introduction to the development of the ground-breaking technology.
At the end of March Timber Structures 3.0 AG will for the first time take part in the International Mass Timber Conference in the US. There the firm from Thun will present the TS3 technology developed in the last few years to the international specialist public. The exhibition is considered one of the most important events of this kind worldwide.
The Timber Structures 3.0 technology, which has been developed by TS3 in the past few years and has already been successfully applied in Switzerland, is also going to be established in Canada. For this purpose TS3 is currently carrying out a series of research tests with Canadian partners.
